UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center
Clear, Standardized Hospital Wayfinding That Improves Patient Navigation
Century Sign Builders developed a comprehensive healthcare wayfinding and signage program for the University of New Mexico Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
The scope included exterior wayfinding signage, interior directional signs, ADA-compliant room identification signs, code signage, directories, and informational signage. Each floor was assigned its own color, which was reflected throughout the signage system to create a clear visual cue for patient and visitor navigation. The project used a standardized hospital signage system with a consistent visual hierarchy to help patients, visitors, and staff navigate a 65-bed medical campus with greater clarity and confidence.
