Summary of the Scope of Work

When Intel Corporation changed their corporate logo they contracted with CSB to refurbish, update, and relocate existing exterior signs and to add new signage to their approximate 135 acre campus in Rio Rancho.  The Rio Rancho campus is considered Intel’s primary factory. There are approximately 50 buildings and 3200 employees on this very busy campus.

In an effort to provide the most cost effective plan to get their current signs up to Intel’s quality standard and have the correct new message and logo, CSB had to perform an audit on each of the signs.  An excel spreadsheet was used to document the detail needed on each sign. The existing signs were fabricated by several vendors over many years and therefore each had various panel sizes/hardware, installation methods, colors of paint and text (size and font).  In addition each sign was in varying degree of disrepair.

Based on the Sign Audit, a budget and production/installation schedule was developed.  CSB was either to refurbish existing signs or produce entirely new signs. Every sign needed to adhere to the new corporate branding specifications.

In addition, to the new logo, a new company no-smoking policy had been implemented and needed to be communicated.  New buildings had been added over the years so maps had to be redesigned to make the ever-growing campus easy to navigate.

Installation of signs or refurbishing had to be carefully coordinated with Intel Security and Facilities Departments.  We had no place to house multiple signs so that had to be brought on the campus at the time of installation.  CSB had to consistently be aware and make accommodations for the fact that the work was done during business hours.

CSB also designed, fabricated, and installed all the signs for Intel’s main 3 level parking structure. CSB had to keep part of the garage operational while the installation was phased.
