One Sun Plaza: Pan American Building

What happens to a decadent corporate campus filled with unique modern architecture, spacious offices, and fine art when the corporation suddenly can’t foot the bill for its fancy digs anymore? If you happen to be talking about One Sun Plaza, the answer is simple. The stunning former headquarters of Sun Health Care was purchased by Goodman Realty and is now one of Albuquerque’s most exclusive commercial properties. When Century Sign Builders was approached to provide signage for the Pan American building, we gladly accepted the challenge.

Our designs had to maintain the building’s very impressive and modern features. The result was a very light and airy design with accents of brushed aluminum hardware. Light itself became an important part of the palette in these signs through the use of both matte and glossy acrylic acrylics in each sign. The main building directory is mounted on the glass side panels of the gigantic lobby stairway. And yes, the whole side of the stairway does light up!
