The Gold Lofts
Located in the theater district of downtown Albuquerque, The lofts on Gold Ave. are a stunning example of urban living. So of course when The Design Group asked us to create unique signage for the building, the final product had to also be stunning. The resulting signs incorporate materials from the buildings very impressive façade and interior finishes. Sections of copper with a patina (a material borrowed from the façade) are individually arranged to create the segmented surface of the sign. Over this we placed a layer of ultra matte acrylic where you’ll find the raised tactical letters and Braille making the sign ADA compliant. The sign layers are fastened together using common Allen bolts, which compliment the building’s interior finish. This method was used for all the loft door signs, directions, and a very large building directory. (not pictured here…yet)
