Bureau of Indian Affairs

The sign package we created for the newly built offices of the Bureau of Indian Affairs is a great example of how versatile the Diversi-Line product line can be. The main design challenge we faced was creating a cohesive sign package that looked wonderful in the building and stayed inline with the client’s budget. By using the Divirsi-Line Sign System we were able to created a wide variety of signs that met the functional needs of the building, looked cohesive, and could be embellished in certain areas due to the sign frames ability to accept a wide variety of substrates.

The most noticeable feature about these signs is the use of a real wood veneer. By working with the cabinet manufacture already selected for the project, Century Sign Builders was able to use the exact same veneer in the signs as was used in the building’s custom cabinetry. Also because all of our signs are machine cut with computer precision, we were able to produce some very interesting effects by cutting the veneer into an arc that met up with our acrylic ADA lenses (see common room sign).

Another interesting challenge with this project was the sea of cubicles in the building; 309 to be exact. By using a smaller frame without the wood veneer, we were able to provide an end user updateable sign for every cubicle that not only matched the other signs in the building but also met the client’s budget.
