United Way of Central NM-Alexis de Tocqueville
Roxanna benefited from parents who really embodied a "giving back to the community philosophy". An early volunteer to the United Way of Central NM, headquartered in Albuquerque, she quickly became one of their biggest fans as she believes they collectively make the best use of community resources and funds. The Alexis de Tocqueville Society is a leadership giving program of the United Way of Central New Mexico. It fosters, promotes, and recognizes the vital importance of voluntary community service and personal giving at an exceptional level.
Because Tocqueville recognized, applauded and immortalized the voluntary spirit that lives in America's heart, United Way honors those giving at an extraordinary level who contribute $10,000 or more through United Way with membership in the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. |
Albuquerque Council | National Dance Institute of NM (NDI-NMI)
Roxanna has so many charities that she is dedicated to but NDI is her favorite. At National Dance Institute of New Mexico (NDI-NM) we care about the whole child, excellence is the message; dance is the medium. As a character-building program, we teach that teamwork, tenacity, discipline and joyful effort can equal success; that hard work and an uncompromising standard of excellence result in a genuine sense of achievement and self-respect that can change the life of a child – any child.
With a staff of professional dancers and musicians, NDI-NM strives to reach children who need our programs the most, regardless of language, culture or physical challenges. We offer students inclusive, non-competetive learning experiences and opportunities for growth they would not otherwise have. |
